My Story
Jason Snyder is a co-founder and Partner at John and Snyder, where he serves as the firm’s Director of Operations. He leads key operational functions including research, marketing, and finance, and plays an integral role in shaping and executing the firm’s search strategies. Jason works closely with clients and candidates throughout each engagement, helping to guide thoughtful and values-driven outcomes.
He began his career in executive search nearly two decades ago as a research professional at one of the world’s largest executive search firms, supporting the growth of its West Coast Technology Practice. Over the years, Jason has developed deep expertise in recruiting General Counsel and senior legal leaders across technology, philanthropy, and nonprofit sectors. His nonprofit clients advance work in areas such as civil rights, environmental justice, housing rights, immigration, and disability advocacy.
Jason holds a Master’s degree in Leadership with a concentration in Organizational Innovation and Change from the University of the Pacific. He is an International Coaching Federation (ICF) certified coach, and holds certificates in professional coaching and systemic team coaching from the University of California, Davis. He is also certified in the Hogan Assessment suite.
He earned his B.A. in Film Studies, with a minor in English, from the University of Utah.
Outside of work, Jason is an avid learner who enjoys reading, meditating, exercising, exploring the outdoors, experiencing new cultures, and all things food. He’s also passionate about film and stays closely attuned to current social issues.
